Collaboration Directors Blog - December 2024
We have come to the end of our first full year for the OCGA Collaboration Hub. What started as a vision and a single person in May of 2023 has taken seed and grown. We made steady progress through the year as we added new team members and accomplished most of our goals for the first year. We launched a new website and posted over twenty blogs in the first year. I spent over 150 days on the road, conducted on-site visits with eleven partners, and attended several team retreats and board meetings.
God has blessed our Alliance, and he continues to lead and provide for our teams in miraculous ways. Overall, our Alliance is strong, and our teams are healthy. We have had another year of fruitful ministry that will be seen in our next annual ministry report. We are facing some common risks and challenges related to leadership transitions, succession planning, recruiting, and fundraising, but our teams are tackling these obstacles with prayer, determination, and innovation.
The year ahead looks very promising. We are just gathering our year-end data for 2024, but I believe we will see some of our highest numbers for the number of churches/home churches started, new disciples of Jesus, workers in the field, and leaders trained or mentored. These are some of our key measurables and areas where we continue to see significant growth worldwide.
We pray for some of our smaller teams as they seek to recruit new members and adjust their focus based on new realities. Our Collaboration Hub team has grown and is now better positioned to serve our teams and care for our leaders.
Our six main outcomes for our Hub are:
Collaboration—The OCGA flourishes with effective collaboration at all levels and through our various thematic and resource teams.
Communication – The OCGA functions with strong relationships and ministry awareness through an effective and efficient communication strategy.
Coaching—OCGA leaders and personnel have access to an integrated coaching network that helps develop individuals in leadership, ministry, and personal competency.
Celebration – The OCGA recognizes and celebrates God’s work through our teams and partnerships worldwide.
Challenge – Strong relationships among OCGA leaders who lean on one another for support and to challenge each other in innovation and vision casting.
Coordination – OCGA leaders and teams are aware of our various resources, teams, and crisis response resources and have ready access to them.
