In May 2025, representatives from our OC Global Alliance gathered in Antigua Guatemala for our biennial Alliance Team Conference.  The theme for the week was “In One Accord.”   The conference design team began with the purpose of bringing our leaders together to celebrate our unity in Christ and renew our commitment to work as one to develop leaders and multiply churches, thereby discipling all nations.

We identified five outcomes that we wanted to accomplish during the week:

  • Strengthen our relationships with each other as partnering mobilization  centers, ministries, and individuals.
  • Identify a shared vision and direction to guide our Alliance into the future
  • Identify new opportunities to collaborate between our teams and individuals
  • Increase our awareness of who we are as an Alliance and the resources available through our networks.
  • Explore new ways we can add value for the members of our alliance.

A significant portion of our time together was spent in a vision renewal process.  Various participants helped us assess our current situation as an Alliance, chart our course for the future, and develop some simple action plans.  Through various exercises and activities, everyone was involved in the process, and by the end of the week, we had a good understanding of who we are and what God has called us to, as we contribute toward fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus.

We recognize that we are a unified family of diverse, contextualized mission efforts.  We share a common family identity, but the work of our teams is unique in each location, and our approach is highly contextualized to meet the specific needs of leaders and the local church.  We celebrate this freedom to innovate and the resulting diversity that enhances our ability to “make disciples.”  We are committed to a collaborative partnership where we can all learn, grow, and serve the Lord together.

We also recognize that God has blessed our alliance in every location, enabling us to develop spirit-led global leaders.  Mentorship and coaching are prevalent across our teams, where we foster a culture of humility, service, and discipline in leadership.  The training and formation of leaders who are spirit-led and culturally relevant is essential in all that we do, and evident in the fruit of our ministries.

As we reflect on the ministry and opportunities God has given us, we aspire to be a humble, empowering space for the next generation of missional leaders.  We are committed to creating intentional, attractive, grace-based spaces for young leaders to grow and serve.  We will ensure next-gen voice and inclusion in mission and leadership.  We will provide simplified pathways to enter ministry and use marketing that resonates with younger audiences.  We will continue to carry out our “Barnabas calling,” to come alongside others to model, mentor, and coach.

We expect God to do miraculous things through the OC Global Alliance in the years to come.  We are taking a spirit-led posture of prayerful, humble listening as we raise new leaders, collaborate with our partners, and take intentional steps to plan and work closely together as an alliance.

A great conference came to an end, and we have much to celebrate.  Old relationships were rekindled, and new ones have developed. We celebrate so many things that God is doing through our people and teams.  We are seeing n/w opportunities emerge for our teams to work and learn together.  We share a new vision for our future, and we are developing a deeper understanding of who we are as an Alliance and what we have to offer to one another.

We began with the question, 'Are we in one accord?' And we concluded, “We are IN!”
