OCGA Women Moving Forward Through Retreat

On November 7, OC Women from around the world came together physically and virtually for our first-ever On-Line Retreat for Global Alliance Women.

Every once in a while, I forget my age and try to run up a few flights of stairs like I did many years ago.  As I reach my physical limit, I have to pause to catch my breath.  The same thing often happens in ministry.  We get excited about what God has called us to, and we run into it at full speed.  Realizing later there are times when we need to pause and catch our breath.  Our OC Women did just that.  This year we hosted our first retreat of this kind.  Our ladies paused for a day to have a "date with God," using the services of Velvet Ashes, (A community of women doing life together around the globe).  The retreat was offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and was well attended by our ladies in the USA, Spain, and Brazil, along with others from many locations.

Here are a few comments from some of the participants:

"I just finished my "Savor" retreat today, as we had a house guest with us all this past weekend. It was a beautiful event for me. I appreciated every activity and every video presentation. I thought God answered our prayers together (prior to the retreat) that He would use it in the lives of OC women. From the comments posted on WhatsApp and Facebook, it certainly seems to have hit the mark, or better, touched hearts. Well done, to you and your committee! You "let it go" and God knocked it out of the park!!"

" It's always wonderful being with like-minded women healing and connected. Thank you, ladies. for your time of sharing, to be sisters in Christ. I have gained confidence in my new road."

"I really enjoyed getting out of the office having a day to soak in his love and grace.  Amazing to be able to draw close to women I work with and from other departments and even other countries."

We hope to offer more of these retreats in the future so stay tuned for more information.
