Lifeworkx curriculum at work in South Africa

28 Christian leaders in Johannesburg, South Africa impacted by Lifeworkx curriculum led by OCGA
Steve Aldrich and I led the Lifeworkx for 28 Christian leaders in Johannesburg, South Africa. These leaders are all engaged in Christian leadership in various forms whether official pastors, ministry workers, elders, or less official capacities.
Their strong Christian and leadership backgrounds help them to be “all in” during our time together to see God, move in their lives. I’m always impressed with people’s vulnerability and sharing their real story and how the most painful and terrifying stories. Their vulnerability is returned into joy as they find freedom and healing in Reframing and finding Jesus in those vulnerable stories. Jesus met us in a holy moment each day.
One day started with an unexpected God moment.
One man shared a traumatic story of his family being held at gunpoint where he was powerless, felt emasculated, and left him with over a decade of insomnia. Steve had the men come around him and “reinstated” his manhood through affirmation and prayer. The Lord led me to read Psalm 2 over him. The next morning, our brother testified that he has slept like a baby since we had prayed for him.
When asked to summarize Lifeworkx in one word, participants said:
Transformation, Discovery, Revolutionary, Empowered, Integration, Hope, Teachings, Blessed, Born-again, Possibilities, Astonishment, Surgery, Peace, Acceptance, Encouraging, Affirmation, Called, Ordering, Newness, Enjoyable, Depth, and Wonderful.
When asked what has stood out about Lifeworkx participants said:
  • “There are parts of my story I've tucked away. I was able to find Jesus in my painful stories. I brought Jesus into processing my story and He restored me!”
  • “Most places charge you inordinately and give you nothing, but here there is transformation, and you don’t pay a fortune for it. I’m so grateful. This is good.”
  • “It was a real blessing to be a part of Lifeworkx. I am so grateful for that gift of inclusion to learn about finding and developing our-God-given strengths. What a blessing! Joshua and Steve thanks for your facilitation of the course and sharing life with us!”
